All four All Ireland semi finalists are represented in the 2015 Hurling All Stars which were released this morning.
Kilkenny win seven awards, with runners up Galway winning four spots. Losing semi finalists Waterford have three players in the team with Tipperary being represented by Seamus Callanan.
Six time All Star winner Eoin Kelly spoke to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan today about the winners and who he felt was unlucky to miss out on an award.
"It's hard for defenders to stand out because you don't have six defenders, now you have eight or nine, sometimes even ten defenders" according to Kelly. He added, however, that he was not surprised by Waterford winning two All Stars as a result of their system and how they play at the back.
The Tipperary legend felt that Kilkenny deserved their seven All Stars, and stated that he didn't view the selection as being too controversial.
Kelly did add that the omission of Joe Canning was a talking point, stating that he was unlucky to miss out on his fourth All Star award despite being the top scorer in the 2015 Championship.
