Kerry forward Stephen O'Brien says they were surprised to see Paul Galvin return last night.
The 35-year-old took part in a training match against the under 21's, and management confirmed that he is back in the senior panel.
Wing-forward O'Brien didn't play in that game last night as he was part of the team that beat Dublin at the weekend, but he says Galvin is welcome back.
"We found out by a text on the way down to training last night and there was a couple of us in the car debating it," O'Brien told Oisin Langan from an event to promote Cork against Kerry this Sunday in the Allianz league at Páirc Uí Rinn. "It was a surprise in that we weren't expecting it.

"It was kind of unusual to see him in training last night. It was back to normal very, very soon - Marc Ó Sé was up looking for his autograph and things like that. There was a bit of slagging, a bit of banter going on.
"It's good to have him back and hopefully he'll contribute in the league."
