The Munster Hurling Championship begins this weekend as 2013 All Ireland Champions Clare face Limerick in Thurles. Since 1994, the counties have faced each other eight times in the Championship with both sides winning on four occasions.
On last night's Off the Ball, Ger and Colm were joined by Jamesie O'Connor and Eoin Kelly to look ahead to Sunday's game. Both men have won a combined eight Munster titles between them for Clare and Tipperary respectively.
Both teams are going into the game weakened, the injuries, suspensions and travel commitments altering Davy Fitzgerald's and TJ Ryan's plans
Shane O'Donnell's form has improved this year after a disappointing 2014. O'Connor said the full forward "was a threat every time he got the ball" in the league, where Clare were eventually relegated to Division 1B.
Limerick goalkeeper Nickie Quaid misses the game this weekend with a collar injury. Aaron Murphy was in contention to deputise for Quaid but his mother used twitter earlier this week to give out about his son starting the game on the bench. Jamesie and Eoin were asked if they felt that might cause disharmony in the Limerick backroom.
The two All Ireland winners gave Ger different opinions on who they think will win, but both agreed that it will be a close game on Sunday afternoon.
