Limerick lead the list nominations for Bord Gais Energy U21 team of the year

Twelve Limerick players have been nominated as the Bord Gais Energy U21 hurling team of the year nominees are revealed.

The county won this year's U21 All-Ireland crown, while two of their players - Diarmaid Byrnes and Richie English are vying for the Player of the Year prize with runners-up Wexford's Conor McDonald. Wexford have nine players nominated, followed by Clare with eight.

We'll be announcing the official Bord Gais Energy team of the year on Off The Ball over four days from Wednesday September 30th, with the ceremony taking place on October 3rd.
