Liam Rushe speaks about the fascination with his positional change

Since Ger Cunningham replaced Anthony Daly as Dublin hurling manager last October, he has used the Walsh Cup and the Allianz League to play some of his stars in unfamiliar positions.

Liam Rushe is one of those stars. The Palmerstown native has already won two All Stars for Dublin, with the awards coming in the centre back position and in midfield, but Ger Cunningham has used Rushe at full foward.

The Dublin star spoke to Oisin Langan earlier this week about his positional change and how he is adjusting to life further up the field.

Galway travel to Croke Park on Sunday to face Dublin in the Leinster Championship. The sides have alreay faced each other twice this year with the Westerners winning the Walsh Cup final in Croke Park and Dublin winning their league clash in Parnell Park.

Rushe spoke to Oisin about what the side can expect from Galway and also explains how Ger Cunningham has tried to change the players mentality since taking over from Daly.

With the sides first Championship game of the summer happening this weekend, we find out how Rushe relaxes before Championship games.

Liam Rushe was speaking to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan at the launch of the Liberty Insurance GAA Safe Driver Campaign.
