Laois secured their Division 1B status for next season following a seven point victory over their provincial rivals Westmeath in Tullamore today.
Six points from Cha Dwyer proved key to Laois' success as a brave Westmeath challenge tired near the end, while ten points from PJ Scully kept the scoreboard ticking over.
For Westmeath, they must go back to the drawing board as they look to scheme a route back to the second tier following a five year absence.
