Cork's new hurling manager has said that he is looking at over 50 players before finalising his panel for the National League.
Kieran Kingston was speaking to Oisin Langan after Cork defeated UCC in the annual Canon O'Brien Cup game at the Mardyke. 24 hours later, Cork were also victorious against Kerry in the Munster Senior Hurling League.
The manager knows he has his work cut out for him this season. "Everybody knows where Cork are ranked. Cork are ranked, I think, the lowest in Munster and seventh in the country. We are where we are. My job is to get the best possible panel together with the best possible management team. We will prepare and best we can and see where that takes us."
Cork begin their National League campaign away to Galway on February 14th.
