Former Meath captain Anthony Moyles joined OTB AM to discuss the weekend's inter-county action in the Allianz National Football League.
Kerry's 4-21 to 0-11 hammering of Galway in Tralee was the most eye-catching of the results and performances.
"Kerry came out with an absolutely unbelievable level of intensity," Moyles said.
"You had one team in Galway that were definitely deficient and then you had one team in Kerry that were mad keen to set down a marker after the debacle of last year.
"They just absolutely blew them apart."
David Clifford's stunning hattrick made the headlines but it was Kerry's entire forward line that impressed Moyles.
"What was really evident, is the forward power that they have," he said.
"The two Clifford lads, Killian Spillane and Sean O’Shea. That is four forwards that as a defender you would be having nightmares going to bed the night before a game, thinking of how you are going to stop those boys.
"Not to mention Paul Geaney as well."
Moyles feels that this level of quality will give Peter Keane and his coaching staff the chance to be creative in how they configure the forward line.
"If you remember a few years ago Dublin were doing this, they were one of the first to bring in a rotation system whereby after a score and depending on who took the score that person would just stay in," he explained.
"I remember one day as a defender you could start on Alan Brogan and then next you could be on Bernard Brogan or Conal Keaney.
"Dublin were basically looking at different match-ups, different sizes so as different players would end up on different defenders. For example, you might have a really speedy guy on a bigger guy.
"The whole idea was that they were trying to confuse the defence and Kerry certainly now have the ability that they can just put forwards anywhere they want and just cause mayhem."
