The Mayo footballers are set to be without All Star defender Keith Higgins for the next two round of the Allianz National League.
Higgins limped off with a hamstring problem during the first half of last Sunday's defeat to Donegal in Ballybofey with a suspected recurrence of the injury that he first suffered during their FBD League game against Roscommon on January 17th.
Manager Stephen Rochford says he is cautiously optimistic about the player's prospects of recovery but he is now expected to miss the matches against against Monaghan and Kerry and could also be a doubt for the games against Roscommon and Down.
