Donegal have ratified Rory Gallagher as the county's new senior intercounty manager.
He will replace Jim McGuinness who left the role after September's All Ireland final defeat to Kerry.
Gallagher was a member of Donegal's backroom team until 2013.
In that time, he assisted McGuinness as Donegal won an All Ireland and two Ulster titles.
The decision to appoint Gallagher was ratified by the county board.
