'Hopefully being Munster champions should help our confidence'

Cork manager Jimmy Barry Murphy believes it is vital that Cork have "finally won something" after claiming a first Munster Hurling title in eight years.

The Rebels boss told Off The Ball's Dave McIntyre that it gives the team something to build on ahead of a highly anticipated semi-final against Tipperary on Sunday, August 17th.

He also does not buy into the theory that Cork are pre-game favourites, seeing it as a 50:50 game:

Meanwhile, Tipp manager Eamon O'Shea said that Tipperary's resilience has been building all year and believes that the "team has dug in and learned to overcome obstacles" and that "will stand to the team".

He also told Dave that he expects a "humdinger" of a game against Cork:
