Kildare manager Jason Ryan feels the whirlwind of intensity Dublin brought to bear against his side in the O'Byrne Cup final played a key part in their loss.
Jim Gavin's Dubs won 0-24 to 0-19 and after the defeat Ryan detailed how the opposition's energy was a "shock to the system" for the Lilywhites.
"Dublin put us under huge pressure on our kickouts. They put us under huge pressure every time we counter-attacked and every time we slowed the ball down. They brought a whole new intensity that we haven't experienced so far this year. At times, the most intense things we've done in January have been in training," he told Newstalk's Oisin Langan.
Ryan felt tiredness at the end led to sloppy mistakes, which ultimately caused defeat.
