Colin Fennelly believes his Ballyhale Shamrocks team-mates will be boosted by being able to field their strongest side as they face major challenges on the pitch.
The Kilkenny club play Kilcormac-Killoughey in the Leinster Hurling final and says injuries affected the club in recent campaigns.
Speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan, Fennelly also spoke about the impact ten-time All Ireland winner Henry Shefflin still has at club level.
"It's hard to think of him having to leave it all go. He's absolutely flying it for the club and he's been flying for Kilkenny all year, it's just so hard to get in there," said Fennelly, who is not expecting Shefflin to hang up his hurl anytime soon.
Fennelly also spoke about the advantage of playing together with the Ballyhale contingent on Kilkenny duty and how that feeds into the club scene.
