The first football championship games of the year on Irish shores takes place this weekend with the highlight coming in Ballybofey as Donegal face Tyrone.
Former Meath defender Anthony Moyles joined Oisin Langan on this week's Monday Rewind and spoke about what he expects from the 2015 Football Championship.
Moyles states that this game as the equivalent of an Ulster final for both teams as they will want to stay out of the qualifiers. When the two sides faced off at the same stage two years ago, Tyrone were defeated but reached the All Ireland semi finals despite entering the qualifiers in Round 1.
The situation with Dublin's championship residency of Croke Park is also mentioned by Oisin and Anthony. The former Meath star feels that if Dublin were to play games outside Dublin 3 it would "even the playing field to a certain degree".
In Connacht, Anthony feels Roscommon will play like "a family unit" due to the many brothers in the team. He thinks that the Connacht Championship will be "very very tight" this year as Mayo will look to retain the provincial title as Galway are looking to return to the pinnacle in the province.
Down south, Anthony spoke about Tipperary and how they "have a chance this year" due to the excellent underage structures in the county. The Leinster Championship winner still expects Kerry or Cork to be victorious in the reckoning come Munster final day.
Kerry "have the quality and have the manager" to retain the title though, and Moyles feels that there could be a successful retention of the title for the first time since 2007.
