Hurling has already landed in British living rooms, making an impression on those who stumbled across it, and yesterday evening it was the turn of Gaelic football to cross the Irish sea and stake a claim for the affections of the British population. Or at least that segment of the British population watching Sky Sports 3 on a Saturday evening. Which is massive, we’re sure.
Galway and Sligo provided the game, with the Tribesmen coming out on top with a 0-16 to 0-11 win at Markeviciz Park, and booking a spot in the Connacht final in the process.
And here’s how the British reaction was represented on Twitter...
Any of our pupils interested in watching some Gaelic Football, tune in to Sky Sports 3 now to see what Mr Kelly has been raving on about.

Just enduring my first experience of Gaelic football. Is the rugby meets football meets basketball meets quidditch?

Not sure what's going off on sky sports 3? It's a football, but they are using hands.. And kicking it over the bar! And someone is in net?

I have been watching Gaelic Football for one minute and I already have no idea what is happening
— George (@Head1ngton) June 21, 2014
I believe it to be a combination of football, rugby, basketball, netball and boxing

Gaelic football is bloody hilarious. When's the World Cup?!
