'I wouldn't be overly convinced'

After last week's drubbing against Dublin, Kildare are back to winning ways after beating Offaly in the qualifiers today.

Jason Ryan's side had shipped five goals last week and lost a couple of members of their panel in the interim, but bounced back.

Eoghan O'Flaherty and Peter Cunningham traded goals as the Lilywhites ran out winners on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-13.

Former Meath midfielder Anthony Moyles was at O'Connor Park for Off The Ball and he says Kildare were "just about" good value for the win.

"I wouldn't be overly convinced," he said. "Like I said at half-time, will we see something different in the second half from Kildare from a defensive point of view? Can [Ryan] learn a little bit from last week, can he learn from the league, can he just reconfigure stuff slightly? And 'No' is the answer. Offaly, working off probably a one-man full-forward line because McNamee was out of that game, and really one man in the half-forward line who was Graham Guilfoyle. Until he got injured, they were causing problems."
