Mayo's Aidan O'Shea has faced both Kerry and Donegal's midfields in recent years and ahead of the All Ireland final he joined us on the show to preview Sunday's match.
But who does he expect to come out on top in the midfield battle?
In actual fact, he is not expecting the sides to draw their swords in that area.
"Probably Kerry, along with ourselves, have had the most traditional midfield in the country with David Moran and Anthony Maher," said O'Shea.
"I don't expect Jim [McGuinness] to let Paul Durcan pop the kicks out to the Kerry midfield on Sunday. I think there will be a lot of variety and I don't think there will be a huge midfield battle to be honest. I think there will be a lot of ball wide by Donegal with the kicks and I don't think it will be a huge aerial contest."
But based on the semi-final defeat against the Kingdom, O'Shea still expects Moran to have a major impact, although he does not see Kerry getting much possession in central areas.
He also noted how Kerry tried to "flood the breaking ball area" during the matches against his own team which formed the basis of the Kingdom's possession.
O'Shea also explained how Mayo broke through the blanket defence during last year's quarter-final annihilation of Donegal, putting the emphasis on pace.
