The Gaelic Players Association says that they have offered support to Davy O'Halloran and Nicky O'Connell.
But they will not be making any further comment about their departure from the Clare hurling panel.
After coming in for criticism for a perceived lack of action in trying to broker a solution, the players body issued a statement last night in which they confirmed that they had consulted all of the parties involved.
However, they refuse to reveal what type of action, if any, that they have taken and insist that all of their involvement "will remain of a confidential nature."
O'Halloran and O'Connell quit Davy Fitzgerald's panel after accusing the Clare management team of double standards over diciplinary measures that were taken within the squad.
