After Sunday's draw between Dublin and Galway in Croke Park, the side replay their Leinster Hurling Championship tie this weekend in Tulamore. It has been seven years since Galway joined the Leinster Championship and they have yet to play a provincial fixture in Pearse Stadium.
Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan spoke to Galway Bay FM commentator Sean Walsh who follows his counties hurlers around the country throughout the year.
The Galway intermediate side were allowed compete in the Leinster Championship this season, although Walsh states that may be because "it is an ailing competition." The Under 21 and Minor sides were refused entry in previous years.
Galway's best performance in Leinster was when the county won the 2012 Leinster title before losing to Kilkenny in a replay.
The resistance from Galway GAA fans has now left according to Walsh, with the tipping point coming last year when the Under 21 and Minor sides were refused entry.
Oisin and Sean also spoke about this weekend's replay where the Galway Bay FM commentator feels that the O'Connor Park field will suit Dublin.
