All-Star nominee Jonathan Glynn may not feature for Galway this season, with the forward currently living abroad in the US.
New Galway boss Micheál Donoaghue says that the Ardrahan clubman was due to return after a few months abroad, but isn't sure if he will return to the Galway panel.
“Johnny went to America, but I’ve spoken to him on a few occasions. It's just ongoing at the moment,” said Donoghue.
“We're respectful of what he wanted to do and it's something we'll revisit in a few weeks' time. Hopefully we can work out something together.”
Glynn was named man of the match in Galway's thrilling quarter-final win over Cork last summer and is best remembered for this post match interview:
