Galway recorded a facile victory over Laois this evening in the Leinster Hurling Semi-Final.
Anthony Cunningham's side won the game by 20 points in Tullamore. It finished 3-28 to 1-14. Joe Canning finished the game scoring 1-15 for Galway in a man of the match performance.
Sligo are to face Mayo in the Connacht final. They defeated Roscommon in Markievicz Park by 1-14 to 0-13. Adrian Marren was the star for Sligo. He scored the games only goal in the first half
In the football qualifiers, Antrim shocked Laois to win in Portlaoise. The Ulster side came from nine points back to win by 2-15 to 1-16.
In Rusilip, Cavan overcame a tricky trip to London. They advanced to Round 2A winning 2-22 to 0-11. Gearoid McKiernan was Cavan's top scorer. He scored 1-7 for Terry Hyland's side.
Offaly also advanced to the next round. They defeated Waterford in Fraher Field by 13 points. Nigel Dunne scored eight points as it finished 1-20 to 1-7.
The final game of the qualifiers this evening saw Longford advance to the next round. The home side defeated Carlow in Pearse Park. It finished 2-15 to 1-8.
