The GAA says that it did not receive a single formal complaint about the Confederate flag that was in the crowd during last Saturday's Munster final replay between Kerry and Cork.
A spokesperson for the GAA also says that policing the use of the flag would be nearly impossible for the GAA and would invoke an inevitable backlash.
Some Cork fans have been defending their right to use the flag at matches - despite its recent association with a racist attack on a church in the US.
