GAA Power Rankings | Week 2 | Can Cork topple Kerry where it *really* matters?

There are just 12 teams left standing in the 2020 All-Ireland senior football championship, and as the provincial finals take shape, so too do Eoin Sheahan's GAA Power Rankings.

There's not much movement at the foot of the rankings, with Eoin inflicting further pain on Sligo's footballers by relegating them to number 32, after they were forced to give a walkover to Galway last Saturday.

There's plenty of movement in Tier 3, but it's largely a reshuffle of the deck.

GAA Power Rankings

Limerick hold firm in 23 despite almost producing a shock against Tipperary, while Wicklow drop to 24 after their hammering of Meath.

Derry's championship ended more than a week ago, but they shoot up four places to number 20. Clare have slumped into the bottom half of the rankings, while Down's absence will be explained below.

The Mourne county climb up into the top 16, after their Ulster quarter final win versus Fermanagh.

Meath leapfrog Cavan and Monaghan into the top 10 after their hammering of Wicklow at no-longer-fortress-Aughrim, while Armagh have dropped back to 9th.

"Where are Cork?", I hear you ask...

All will be revealed...

The big movers this week are naturally the Rebels after their stunning late win against Kerry in the Munster semi final. Ronan McCarthy's side go right up to number four in the power rankings, skipping five places in the table in one-fell-swoop.

It's a contentious top 10 all round; Roscommon drop just one place despite being comprehensively beaten by Mayo, and remain ahead of the Connacht finalists Galway. Mayo are now up to 2 behind Dublin, who won't be budged unless the lose their All-Ireland crown.

And surely for the first time since the Power Rankings began, Cork topple Kerry, and sit above their neighbours in the mind of Eoin Sheahan.

Remember the day.
