Donegal have an All Ireland Football semi-final against Dublin to look forward to after winning their quarter-final on Saturday.
But it was a hard slog against Armagh for Jim McGuinness' men as they showed resilience to prevail by a 1-12 to 1-11 scoreline.
Corner back Eamon McGee admitted that he and his team-mates have much to work on when he spoke to Off The Ball tonight.
"I'm just disappointed with the overall performance and there will be certain aspects we have to look at. We were told to do stuff and we didn't carry it out and that's a testament to Armagh. I think Armagh had our number. We have to give them credit too," he said, adding that the kickouts are an area to look at and admitted that they lost their focus.
He also felt some of the forward line were isolated up front.
"We left a few boys hanging out to dry on Saturday," he said, adding that the heat in Croke Park also made things difficult for Donegal.
He also played down a minor clash with Armagh manager Paul Grimley and also about his return from London to link up with McGuinness setup in the early stages of the Donegal revolution.
McGee also looked ahead to the match against the Dubs and compared the current Dublin and Donegal teams to the sides which played each other in the semi-final three years ago.
