Dublin hurler, Ryan O'Dwyer, is in hospital receiving treatment following an alleged assault in London.
O'Dwyer was reportedly on his way to the World Cup final when he was assaulted outside a London pub.
Reports suggest that O'Dwyer is conscious but may have suffered a broken jaw or eye socket, and is awaiting results from a scan.
O'Dwyer joined the Dublin hurling panel in 2011 and was part of the squad that collected the 2011 Division one National League title.
The former Tipperary hurler is a woodwork teacher in St Mac Daras Community College in Dublin.
