Dublin have yet again made easy work of an oppenent in Leinster after beating Kildare 5-18 to 0-14. Jim Gavin's charges cames into the game having disposed of Longford by 27 points a few weeks back and it was the same story today.
Kildare took the lead in the first minute but that was soon cancelled out by a Ciarán Kilkenny point and that was a close to Dublin that Kildare got. It took Dean rock only 8 minutes before Dublin had gotten the first of their five goals and they never looked back. Dublin hit 2-5 without reply and had marched into an 11 point lead before Jason Ryan's men responded. Dublin didn't stutter however as they outscored Kildare 2-3 to 0-3 in the final 8 minutes and the game was over.
Under Jim Gavin Dublin have been relentless and they were ruthless again in the 2nd half with Dublin's running game cutting Dublin apart time and time again. things got worse for Kildare after goalkeeper Mark Donnellan gave away a penalty and was black card Connolly expertly putting the penalty away. Dublin as ever didn't relent and put another goal and two points away before the end of the game.
Dublin's dominance was epitomised by the their full forward line of Dean Rock, Diarmuid Connolly and Bernard Brogan who scored 5-10 of Dublin's 5-18. Dublin will Westmeath in the Leinster final where Tom Cribbin's men will have to produce a monumental performance to stop the juggernaut that is this Dublin side.
Kildare however will have to pick themselves up fairly fast as the qualifiers await them.
