The Down GAA community is in mourning today following the untimely death of a popular footballer.
Peter Turley of the Saval Gaelic Athletic club passed away suddenly yesterday. In addition to playing football in Down, Turley also lined out for Queen's University in both of their Sigerson Cup final defeats in 2005 and 2006.
Many have taken to social media to post tributes to Peter Turley and his family since his untimely passing yesterday evening.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Peter Turley was one of the finest men I ever met. A throughly decent man, a friend, a great footballer. The world today is a lesser place
