Derry GAA have confirmed that footballer Aaron Devlin has passed away.
The 22-year-old player had been placed on life-support earlier this week after taking ill during a match with his club, Ballinderry Shamrocks.
He had been battling an aggressive strain of meningitis in hospital.
Derry confirmed the sad news this evening in a statement:
