Cork will not be getting carried away with themselves despite impressive Allianz Football League form according to Colm O'Neill.
The corner forward has played a key part, scoring 0-8 last time out in the victory over Tyrone.
Although, the Rebels find themselves top of the league, O'Neill told Off The Ball tonight that they will not be losing the run of themselves.
"By no means are we getting carried away. We only have to look back 12 months previous to see we were in that exact position and exact same points, and I suppose it wasn't a fairytale season for us last year. We're happy where we are but we're not getting carried away either," he said.
The 26-year-old Ballyclough clubman has suffered three cruciate ligament injuries over the years.
"Unfortunately, I've had it done three times. After the first time, you're probably better off not knowing what's involved. But I knew what I was coming back to. If you had the chance to play inter-county with your own county, you'd give your left arm for it. So I knew I was coming back to good setup," he said, adding that be hopes the work he has done to strengthen the ligament means he has seen the back of those serious knee injuries.
