After the months of preparation and the late change in opponent, Conor McGregor fights Chad Mendes in the early hours of tomorrow morning for the Interim UFC Featherweight Title in Las Vegas. Ger was joined on Off the Ball this afternoon by Niall McGrath from TalkingBrawlsMMA.com to look ahead to the fight.
They spoke about the altercation between McGregor and Mendes' teammate Urijah Faber at last nights weigh in. Faber accused McGregor of looking very frail before at the weigh in, but McGrath doesnt think that will be an issue in the fight.
The Dubliner's pedigree against wrestlers has been questioned but according to Niall, he feels McGregor will be able to cope with what Mendes has to offer in the MGM Grand.
"I think it could get under Chad's skin", Niall told Ger when he was asked about the impact of the Irish fans. Over 10,000 fans attended the weigh in last night, including a massive Irish contingent.
Niall told Ger that he expected McGregor to win in the second round.
