The Camogie Association have announced that they are now offering Clare and Dublin the chance to take part in a play-off game this weekend to determine who will contest this year's All Ireland quarter-finals.
However, the winning team will have just two days to then prepare for an All-Ireland quarter-final against Wexford.
The governing body has performed a U-turn on the decision after both Dublin and Clare refused to take part in this morning's scheduled coin toss to separate the two sides.
In statements, both counties said that the governing body have shown contempt and disdain for the players.
The Camogie Association says that the play-off will take place this Saturday, August 1st at 2pm in Semple Stadium, with extra-time to be played if the match is a draw.
The winners will advance to an All Ireland quarter-final against Wexford on Monday, August 3rd.
In a statement, the Camogie Association said they "took the decision in order to find a solution to the impasse which arose after both Clare and Dublin Camogie Boards withdrew, after objecting to the pre-determined competition procedures to identify the fourth quarter-finalist in the Liberty Insurance Senior All-Ireland Championship."
