Bernard Brogan on how he's persuading brother Alan to stay on with the Dubs

Dublin forward Bernard Brogan has admitted that he is trying to persuade his brother Alan to continue his inter-country career.

Brogan was speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan at the Ploughing Championships

"What I'm telling him is that he definitely has the legs, he has the football, he has the smarts in a team that's quite young. To have that bit of experience like Alan to rely on, I definitely think he can still do a job," said the 30-year-old of his elder sibling.

Brogan also spoke about the disappointment of losing to Donegal in the All Ireland semi-final and gave his take on where the Dubs went wrong.

But he also shared what an expansive Dublin side learned from that defeat against systems like Donegal's and feels manager Jim Gavin will be "ruthless" in his approach next year.

And he also explained why he is more hungry to return to training in years when he has not won an All Ireland in comparison to 2011 and 2013.
