This weekend sees two big games in Leinster and Munster as Galway and Dublin have their replay tomorrow in Tullamore and Cork face Waterford on Sunday.
Daithi Regan and Jamesie O'Connor spoke to Ger this evening to look ahead to the two games. Regan still thinks its "Dublin's to lose" but he thinks the half forward line including Ryan O'Dwyer will be crucial to Ger Cunningham's side.
O'Connor feels the replay will prove to be a better game than last weeks draw. Croke Park looked like a "ghost stadium" at throw in last weekend and Jamesie feels that the surroundings in Tullamore will suit both teams. He feels Galway will win, having a greater scope to improve this weekend.
Offaly and Laois square off this weekend too in Portlaoise, and Laois "have pulled a master stroke" with their preparations ahead of the game with Cheddar Plunkett leaving the squad and returning as manager since their last game. Despite the "master stroke", Regan feels Offaly will have enough to reach the Leinster semi-finals.
"Nobody rated Waterford six months ago" according to Jamesie O'Connor ahead of the their game against Cork this weekend. The former Clare All Ireland winner feels that Jimmy Barry-Murphy will have found a way to play against Waterford after they lost to their Munster rivals in the Allianz League final.
Daithi Regan feels that Cork are favourites for the game, despite the loss in the league final, because they wont let Waterford play that way again.
Regan also wondered if Cork "were dancing to the Waterford tune" and he expects Waterford to win this weekend. Despite Daithi's reservations, Jamesie expects Cork to win this weekend.
