At just 25, Aidan O'Shea has already picked up six Connacht winners' medals as a senior player for Mayo.
But the main focus on the man who scored a hat-trick of goals in a final hammering of Sligo yesterday has been his deployment as an all-conquering full-forward in 2015.
O'Shea was on Off The Ball tonight and the Breaffy clubman said the change in position started off as a "casual conversation" at the start of the year.
"It's gone pretty well for the most part and I have the licence to float around as well if things aren't quite going my way inside. So far it's been good. I don't think I'll get as much space as I have in the last two games over the coming weeks, but so far so good," he said, adding that Mayo will need to tweak their approach when they come up against blanket defences during the All-Ireland series.
However, despite his success at full-forward, he also admitted that "I'm on record as saying it's definitely not my most natural position".
"Anybody who's watched me play football for the last couple of years knows I'm probably a better heads-up footballer up the field. As I said, I feel I can do a job in there and obviously my height and physicality can be a nuisance for teams as well. So, it's just whatever's needed depending on the game," he said.
