Exclusive: Tyson Fury coach Andy Lee believes Fury-Joshua could happen in the next year

Tyson Fury could fight Anthony Joshua in the next 12 months, according to Fury's coach Andy Lee.

In an exclusive interview with OTB AM, Lee said that he believes Joshua should be "stepping up" to fight Fury in the next year as it is the fight that the heavyweight division deserves.

After Fury's WBC heavyweight world title fight against Deontay Wilder, Lee also says that there is absolutely no fear from Fury about the potential bout.

"I think so - I don't see why not," said Lee of a potential Fury-Joshua fight as a heavyweight fight in the next year.

"It's a huge fight and I don't see there being any fear from Tyson, or an unwillingness to fight him.

"These things are so complicated as there is so much money involved, how it is split and where it goes to - these fights can be very hard to make.

"If there is a willingness from both boxers for a fight to happen, then usually they do."

Fury-Joshua on the cards?

There has been a lot of speculation among and between the heavyweight contenders over the last 18 months, and Joshua reclaimed his unified heavyweight titles in December.

"All the talk and all of this tweeting - if they really want it, then they will have to offer it and Tyson will consider it.

"Tyson said he has three more fights in his contract and he wants Wilder again after this one, maybe somebody else and then Joshua.

"He has always stuck to his word.

"Why not? It should happen - these fights should happen. Tyson is the best heavyweight in the world.

"There are obviously two best heavyweights in the world - the next best challenger - Anthony Joshua - should be stepping up to fight him."

The full interview with Andy can be seen on OTB AM on Monday morning from 7:30am.
