Eoin Morgan undecided on England future

England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan says he'll consider his future during a break after leading his team to success at the Cricket World Cup.

The Dubliner led them to glory in the competition for the first time at Lord's last Sunday.

Morgan, who was drafted by the Dublin Chiefs yesterday, knows he's got quite a decision to make.

"After every major tournament or challenge, I'll always sit down and say 'how does the future look? How does the next six months, year, four years look?'" he told Sky Sports.

"I actually haven't had a chance to come down off the high of the World Cup yet so it's been incredibly difficult to make a logical decision and that's when I make my best decisions.

"It's a big commitment - not only to go to the T20 World Cup next year, but to commit to the next 50-over World Cup. These last five weeks have taken so much out of me mentally and physically.

"My levels of fitness with my back have always been in question and it's not a nice place to be in as a leader. At the forefront of it will be 'can I take the team forward?'"

Morgan is also hoping their World Cup success will help future England teams believe they can deliver at major tournaments.

"As a team, we'd like sides of the future to be not only considered a favourite or second-favourite going into a tournament - similar to Australia and India.

"We have changed the level of expectation through performance. I think if we continue to do that for a long period of time, I think everybody in the side will be very happy with what we've done."
