Mike Tindall broke up blood-soaked fight between England fans at Wembley

Former England and Lions player Mike Tindall spoke about the chaos at Wembley on Sunday, and breaking up a fight between two drunk England fans.

The images from Sunday have shocked many, and Tindall told his The Good, The Bad and the Rugby podcast all about it.

"I'm a lad from up north, I'm comfortable in most situations. [Sunday night] was weird, I would not have been happy to be there with my kids.

"Walking down Wembley Way was a disgrace. The sheer amount of litter and people who didn't seem to care about anything. It's a small minority, but it's the minority you remember."

'They didn't give a shit' - Tindall on England fans

It was difficult to get in, as an estimated 5,000 fans got through the gates with no tickets causing snarl-ups at the turnstiles.

"Trying to get in took forever because people had taken photos of their tickets on their phone, some people with actual tickets couldn't get through because someone had taken a photo and already gone through.

"The stewards can't do anything - it was just something I've never witnessed before. People without tickets were standing in the stairways, stewards telling them to sit down and they don't give a shit because the stewards can't do anything to them."

Tindall spoke of trouble breaking out nearby.

“A guy was there the whole time, smashed out of his face, literally didn’t watch any of the game anyway, he was just too busy shouting at supporters that they should be standing on their feet.

"He ends up getting into a fight with another one that is straight behind my seat.”

'Just what are you doing?'

Tindall had to step in.

“It got to a stage where this guy literally was trying to pile this guy in the face, there was a five-year-old kid next to us, a kid next to us, there was a kid on the other side crying because he couldn’t see the game because of all the guys stood in the galleyway and I just pulled these guys apart.

"I said to one of them ‘What are you doing? Just what are you doing?’ And you know, he wandered off, blood all over him. The guy on the floor had blood all over him.”
