Rescue teams searching for the missing footballer Emiliano Sala have discovered wreckage believed to be from the plane. It was recovered in the area that the single-turbine engine Piper PA-46 Malibu disappeared.
The search for the missing plane with Cardiff City's new striker on board resumed at first light on Wednesday.
Guernsey Police confirmed a "number of floating objects" were found in the water before the search was suspended yesterday.
John Fitzgerald, chief officer of the Channel Island Air Search, said a cushion and bent piece of metal were among the objects recovered from the sea.
An audio recording purported to be a whatsapp voice note recorded by Sala has been played on TV in Argentina.
Speaking in Spanish, Sala said he was “aboard a plane that seems like it is falling to pieces."

Salah's father Horacio said he was speechless after learning the news via the media:
"The hours go by and I don't know anything, it makes me fear the worst.
"I don't know anything. Nobody spoke to me, not a call from the embassy, the club, nobody," he said. "All I want is for you to find him.

Reports suggest Cardiff City will resume training later. There are no indications yet that their next match against Arsenal in the Premier League next Tuesday will be postponed.
The Channel Island Air Search believe the aircraft broke up after crashing in the Channel.
John Fitzgerald, chief officer of the Channel Island Air Search said: "When a plane goes on the water you only have a few minutes before it does sink.
"They're not designed to sit on the sea and once you open the doors you usually have two or three minutes before it goes underwater, especially with a lighter aircraft."
Sala and the pilot were the only two on board the plane. Guernsey Police say the chances of survival are slim.
