"To say I'm nervous is an understatement" - Arthur Lanigan O'Keeffe

For many Olympic hopefuls, the bright lights of Rio de Janeiro are coming into focus as the Olympic Games is now under a year away. For Modern Pentathlete Arthur Lanigan-O'Keeffe, this week is the most crucial of his career since London 2012.

Lanigan-O'Keeffe along with seven other Irish athletes are in Bath to compete in the European Championships. For Arthur the equation is very simple. A top eight finish in the Championships will book his ticket to Rio to compete in his second Olympic Games at the age of 24.

In his preparations for the event, Arthur this week travelled to his alma mater, Millfield to work on his fencing skills ahead of the event with renowned coach Tristan Paris.

"The whole season has been built around peaking for this competition. To put that in perspective, thats just under 900 hours of training", Arthur tells us in his latest training vlog.
