The Kick Off: Donegal overpower Armagh

Armagh manager Kieran McGeeney says they never got started in yesterdays Ulster quarter final defeat to Donegal .

It finished 2-11 to 0-8 at the Athletic Grounds.

Donegal go on now to face Derry in the next round.

In the days other action Mayo beat Galway 1-15 to 2-8 and Kerry overcame Tipperary 2-14 to 2-8.

There were also wins for Cork, Meath and Westmeath.

The Rebels overcame Clare 1-20 to 1-8, Westmeath beat Wexford by 1-21 to 0-15 and Meath overcame Wicklow 2-19 to 3-12.

EUROPEAN GAMES

Ireland's quest for medals at the European Games in Baku continues today with competitors in the canoe sprint and gymnastics events.

After getting knocked out of the 1000 metre competition yesterday, Peter Egan & Simas Dobrovolski take to the water again today in the 200 metres Kayak double.

They're in action from 10:25am.

In the singles' version of the event, Tom Brennan is in heats action from 11:05am.

While in the men's canoe singles, Andrzej Jezierski flies the flag for Ireland - he goes down-stream from 10:40am.

In the 200 metres of the women's kayak, Jennifer Egan is in heat 3 and the first of the Irish in action today.

That takes place at 10am.

In gymnastics, the Irish contingent of Kieran Behan, Daniel Fox and Rohan Sebastian continue their artistic qualification round.

Behan performed the best of that bunch on the first day of the event - he's spent the night in 18th place.

Meanwhile, it's also day 2 in the women's contest - Tara Donnelly, Nicole Mawhinney and Éilis O'Reilly flying the tricolour there.

SOCCER

In the Copa America, Ecuador and Bolivia will both be looking for their first victory of the tournament tonight when they meet in the Group A clash.

That gets underway at 10 o'clock.

Last night, Brazil came from behind to defeat Peru 2-1, with an injury goal from Douglas Costa.
