Dundalk have opened-up a six-point lead at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division after grabbing a late winner over local rivals Drogheda United in tonight's Louth derby.
A 90th minute free-kick from John Mountney took a cruel deflection off the wall to wrong-foot the Drogheda goalkeeper as Stephen Kenny's side claimed a narrow 2-1 win.
Drogheda thought they had done enough to at least claim a point after striker Lee Duffy had earlier cancelled out Darren Meenan's opening goal.
Meanwhile, First Division leaders Wexford Youths remain two points clear of Finn Harps.
Wexford thrashed their South-East rivals, Waterford United 4-0 at Ferrycarrig Park while Harps beat Cabinteely 1-0.
In the other game, Cobh Ramblers came from a goal down to beat hosts Athlone Town 4-1.

Kilkenny and Galway have named their teams ahead of Sunday's Leinster final at Croke Park.
