GAELIC GAMES

Donegal have reached the Ulster Football Final for the fifth year in a row.

They defeated Derry by 1-9 to 0-10 in St. Tiernach's Park. Martin O'Reilly scored the games only goal.

Armagh are the first team through on the B side of the footballer qualifiers after beating Wicklow this afternoon.

2-17 to 2-7 was the final score at the Athletic Grounds, with Jamie Clarke contributing 2-5 of that.

This evening, Wexford defeated Down in Innovate Wexford Park. The Leinster side won by five points. It finished 2-16 to 2-11.

In Drogheda, Louth beat Leitrim by eight points to book their place in Round 2B.

GOLF

At the end of Day 3 at the BMW International Open in Munich, Michael Hoey is still shouldering the Irish challenge.

He'll go into the final day on 11-under par, five shots off the lead held by James Morrison.

Shane Lowry is on 8-under, with Darren Clarke and Damien McGrane both two shots further back.

Peter Lawrie ended his round on 2-under, one ahead of Kevin Phelan.

SOCCER

Managerless Sligo Rovers lost to Bray Wanderers in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division this evening.

Alan McNally scored the only goal of the game for the hosts inside the first ten minutes.

RACING

The 10/11 favourite, Jack Hobbs has won the 150th Irish Derby at the Curragh.

William Buick steered his mount from behind to finish well clear of American horse, Storm The Stars, who finished second.
