Ireland's Euro 2016 qualifying campaign hangs in the balance this evening as Scotland come calling to the Aviva Stadium.
After a 1-0 loss in Glasgow last November, Martin O'Neill's side effectively have to win today if they're to retain a realistic chance of emerging from Group D.
The Ireland manager will keep his team-sheet under wraps until shortly before kick-off as he faces selection decisions around Aiden McGeady and Robbie Keane.
Kick-off in Dublin this evening is at 5pm, which is the same time as table-toppers Poland will host Georgia while Germany are away to Group D minnows Gibraltar at 7:45pm
Northern Ireland are also involved in qualifying action today.
Goalkeeper Roy Carroll has been ruled-out of their crucial Group F clash with Romania in Belfast, which will get underway at 7:45pm
GAA
Laois and Kildare have both named unchanged sides ahead of tonight's Leinster quarter-final replay in Tullamore.
The two neighbours cancelled each other out in a disappointing display last weekend and supporters will be hoping for better at O'Connor Park tonight, where the action gets underway at 7:15pm.
In hurling, Louth face Fermanagh in the Nicky Rackard Cup relegation/promotion play-off at Kingspan Breffni Park at 3pm.
RUGBY
There's two Irish rugby teams in action today.
Rhys Ruddock will lead-out the Emerging Ireland side for their opening match of the Tbilisi Cup in Georgia.
They're going-up an Emerging Italy team at 2pm, Irish time.
Meanwhile, the Irish Wolfhounds Sevens team are back in action in the GB7's tournament this morning.
They're facing at least three group matches today in Wales.
EUROPEAN GAMES
Aileen Reid is the only Irish athlete in action on the opening day of competition at the inaugural European Games.
Ireland's leading triathlete, who is one of the team's strongest medal prospects in Baku, is taking part in the women's medal race this morning.
HORSE RACING
There's a seven race card on offer this afternoon in Navan, with the opening race at 2:10pm.
