Kellie Harrington has won at least a bronze medal at the boxing World Championships in in Astana this morning.
The Dubliner defeated Zarina Tsoloyeva via unanimous decision and she now goes into the semi-final where she'll win at least a bronze medal.
Harrington knocked down Tsoloyeva in the final round and becomes the only woman, other than Katie Taylor, to win a medal at the World Championships.
“Absolutely delighted,” she told the Irish Times afterwards. "Tactics were spot on. I got great tactics of the coaches here and off Jimmy Halpin as well. It worked all round, a very high performance. Everything I did I was told to do."
Irish coach Zaur Anita said: "Excellent performance. She has very big ability. She won two fights easy and once she believes in herself more she will win every fight. She is very good technically and very flexible. Today she has to enjoy. Then prepare."
