Former Ireland defender Kenny Cunningham believes Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has become a liability on the pitch.
Speaking to Off The Ball, Kenny feels age is taking its toll on Gerrard and his effectiveness in midfield.
"He's been nullified now a lot when Liverpool have possession of the ball. When he's not getting on the ball and not dominating the ball, controlling the tempo of the game, he's a liability because he doesn't warrant a position in the team because of that," said the former Ireland captain.
"Hand on heart, if you ask me if Steven Gerrard will be in that Liverpool starting XI in August or September next year, I wouldn't be putting any money on that."
