Seamus Coleman: "We're all Premier League and Championship footballers. We know how to play football"

Seamus Coleman is disappointed at how Ireland's failed to play to their maximum ability in their 3-0 defeat to Belgium.

The Boys in Green were outclassed in the Euro 2016 group clash, with an inability to be progressive with possession one of the areas Coleman admits was an issue.

"We're disappointed with how we played. We're all Premier League and Championship footballers. We know how to play football and as the manager said, we didn't keep the ball well enough and that's disappointing but it's going to hurt for the night, but we have to get ready to go again," the Ireland right-back told Off The Ball.

"We didn't play as well as we would have liked first half. We kept them at bay but we wanted to do a little bit more ourselves, which we didn't manage to do and unfortunately they scored the goal which was from a free-kick that we had and they broke on us and when you go 1-0 down then you're chasing the game to get back into the game and unfortunately we left gaps."
