Furlong set to miss out on Wales' game

The independent.ie are reporting that Tadhg Furlong is set to miss out on this weekend's vital Six Nations Championship game against Wales.

Furlong appears to has lost his race for fitness after sustaining a hamstring injury against Italy two weeks ago

The New Ross man has not fully trained since sustaining the injury against the Italians. The Leinster man only played a limited part in yesterday's run at Carton House.

Team management yesterday confirmed the New Ross man would only play a part in the game, if he was 100% fit.

Rúaidhrí O'Connor is reporting that the tight-head prop will be replaced by his club colleague Andrew Porter in the front row.

Ireland vs. Wales takes place Saturday at 2:15pm in Aviva Stadium.
