"He's a legend. I love Tyson, he's such a cool dude"

It doesn't look like that super-fight between Ronnie O'Sullivan and Tyson Fury will be happening anytime soon.

The former unified Heavyweight world champ called out the snooker legend last week, asking 'The Rocket' to come down to his gym. Well, O'Sullivan did just that, and speaking to Off The Ball's Shane Hannon he spoke of the encounter and the man in glowing terms.

"He's a legend. I love Tyson, he's such a cool dude.

"He's such a nice guy and he gets such a bad time in the press and media. I met him in a gym and he was such a lovely, lovely, sweetheart of a guy".

While Fury is a divisive character for many, having made a number of negative comments regarding homosexual and transgender community, as well as those of the Jewish faith. However, O'Sullivan doubled down on his backing of the undefeated pugilist and said he can't wait to have him back in the ring, with the "Gypsy King" currently in training for his expected comeback bout at some point this year.

"He's actually quite shy in many ways, but he's a bit of an extrovert. I just love him, and it's great to see him back getting in shape first. He's going to have a couple of warm-up fights first, but it'll be great to just see him get in there because I do think that he is the best Heavyweight out there".

"To not have him around at this time when there's a lot of good Heavyweight match-ups would be a bit sad really. So I think for every boxing fan, and I'm a huge boxing fan, to see Tyson come back, it's now going to get really exciting".
